February - Compassion

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
~Dalai Lama

  • Compassion is the sympathetic concern for the suffering of another.

  • Compassion is the emotion that one feels in response to the suffering of others that motivates a desire to help.

  • Compassion is a feeling of wanting to help someone who is sick, hungry, hurt, in trouble, etc.

This month the Farley Community will be participating in Hoops for Hearts. This is a great event that not only is fun, but also educates our students on healthy living and donates money for the American Heart Association.

A song initially produced for the "Newton Kindness Project" ). It is a reminder of the importance of compassion.
