Memorial Day Celebration

On May 22nd, the entire Farley Community honored 42 veterans and their families in celebration of Memorial Day. This very special day included student performances of songs, poems, quotes and speeches honoring those who served our country. All veterans were presented with framed American flags as a gift for their service.  Please see slideshow below of this wonderful event.

Great Strides

Help support the Great Strides Walk for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in May. One of Farley's own, 4th grader Julianna Huebner has Cystic Fibrosis and is walking to find a cure. Her team, is also walking in memory of Lauren Gold. Click on link: Great Strides  for more information on joining the fight!  

Fight for Owen

Our 4th grade showed their support on St. Patrick's Day for our teacher, Dorothy Shuler and the foundation created in her son's name, "Fight for Owen". This foundation is in memory of her son, Owen Vincent Shuler and was set up with the purpose is to share his story and raise awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Farley vs. Stony Point

20170310_104854.jpgMany thanks for a fun and successful night had by all!  It is so great when our "Sister Schools" can get together for a good cause!  Besides all the fun being had on the court, the night's event raised $1,644.00 that will be donated to families in need within our community. Thank you again to all the players, volunteers, cheerleaders and fans!

"Big Mike" from the Harlem Wizards

"Big Mike" from the Harlem Wizards surprised our students  on Wednesday, March 1st. Big Mike was at Farley to promote the big event happening on March 24th at NRHS. Hoops for Hearts

Our annual Hoops for Hearts event to raise awareness for heart healthy living was a great success and brought our community together for a day of school spirit. In our knockout tournament our 3 runners up were: Nicholas DiMichele (6th), Noeley Vargas (5th) and Omari Levy (4th) and our overall winner Luke Garrison (5th). Our staff super shooters included Mrs. Taylor, Mr. Reale and Ms. Herrmann making the 3 point shot. Please click on link to view pictures from a great day!

Polar Plunge 2017

Once again, The Stony Point Seals hosted their 18th annual Polar Plunge to raise money for local families. One of this year's recipients was one of Farley's own, Angelica Hicks. Spelling Bee

Congratulations to the winner of the Farley Spelling Bee Arjun Venkatisan!! 2nd place went to Max Ceasar and 3rd place to Gillian Allessi. Also moving on to the next round will be Hunter Petro, Donny Grom, Eddie Cigna and Sabrina Duesing. The Regional Round will be held on 2/16 at Fieldstone MIddle School. We are so proud of all the student who showed courage and perseverance as they participated in the BEE.  

NRCSD Lego Drive

Our Elementary S.T.E.M. programs are in full swing and in need of more materials to give our students more opportunities to engage in the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! If you have LEGO's or blocks that are just laying around not being used, please send them into our school for donation to our S.T.E.M. lab. Every bit counts!
